Meet The Founders
Friends since childhood, we have always had 1 thing in common, Quality in what we create. In a world full of disposable products, and an ever-growing common focus of quantity over quality immediately provoked us to point our company in the opposing direction. Our shared passion of crafting luxurious cabinetry for the discerning fly-fisherman keeps us content in knowing they will be cherished and passed down from generation to generation.
We envision morning conversations surrounding our fly cabinetry, the knowledgeable moments of helping loved ones choose the proper rod and flies, the foggy early mornings exploring the diversity of ever-changing rivers and wilderness, these peak moments where dreams and reality collide are only a few examples of the memories we hope to beckon upon you that will be forever held dear by friends and family. Understanding the need for exceptional products is what makes us the first and foremost Atelier of fly-fishing cabinetry. These dreams and aspirations are what led us to start Stadie & Mangrum Fly Fishing Cabinetry. Based in middle Tennessee, we strive to provide handcrafted heirloom cabinetry solutions for storing and displaying all types of fly-fishing gear that are respective to the people and streams that inspired us to participate in the sport!
As a young man I was taught to respect nature in all its beauty. By doing so, I found a place that not only offers solace, but provides me with endless opportunity to hone my fly- fishing skills on North American streams. This insatiable love of the outdoors is what led me to pursue my personal dream of owning a company that would embrace and share my vision of nature and fly fishing in an unequivocally beautiful piece of cabinetry!
I grew up in a small town in middle Tennessee. My dad taught me from a young age building a good reputation was an important part of life. He used to tell me ” If your going to do something, do it right or dont do it at all”. I have tried my hardest to live up to those words. My mom and dad have been my greatest inspiration to be successful and to be the best person I can be. Everything I am, I owe to them. I learned multiple trades throughout the years, but carpentry was the one that drew me in. It was from this passion of woodworking combined with my best friend of 30 years love of fly fishing, that we were able to design and create a piece of furniture that could withstand the test of time.
